Yes, But Tell Me How You Really Feel

* * * Self-honesty and being real.Authenticity is based on honesty with yourself.We hide who we are and how we really feel out of fear, but it kills our power. We act sweet when resentful or bitter, and it comes out sideways. It’s the stinky note in an otherwise sweet-sounding voice. It’s a weight around our neck, suffocating our power slowly when we want to be heard. It’s everything we fear to let go of coming for us until we finally release it. Say it. Spit it tf out. Don’t give me your fake sweetness.Don’t tell me how you can help the world when you’re suffering inside with secrets you fear facing that haunt your sleep, your peace. Beloved, it can be easier. Show me, instead, respectfully how you feel. Scratch that— show YOU how you really feel. Have that dialogue with you inside. What are you no longer willing to tolerate? What’s gotta go? What must stay? What are you hiding and hoping no one finds out? What thoughts never leave, and you fear being true? Where does your shame live? The things you regret doing but can’t utter aloud? Tell me, be willing to be who you are in those quiet moments. Cultivate the bravery to see yourself as you are and melt into that being. You can do it. And I’m here to help. No more lies.
