The difference between being and teaching what you say.There’s a desire by many to live and lead what they are or what they teach. “It’s about moving from the how to who,” a friend shared yesterday. This is an example of teaching by example without verbal, linear, or literal how-to teaching. #being This is an example of a direct and linear, do this and get this teaching. We benefit from both styles of being. Both are teachings. Both are required for the teacher, you, to fill the well of creativity and not wither. Your mind will argue against the being. But what does your mind know of such things? Why must one never ask a turtle about flying or an elk about shedding its skin? We get the answers we seek when we seek wise, aligned counsel. The mind doesn’t have a heartbeat. A pulse. The breath of life. To know these things, we must listen and become said things. The mind is better placed watching in the distance, waiting for a curated direction. To know the heart, however, is to know thyself and all the jewels of the earth. Be still, little one. Be still.
